Studio 73 is not your average studio. It was built by a group of young people from Hackney who wanted to claim a space to create.
The studio is located at the Total Refreshment centre in Stoke Newington, an arts centre and studio complex on the cutting edge of the underground music scene in London.
The studio complex is comprised of two rooms, one music room and one sitting room. Designed and built by professional sound engineers, the music room was purpose built as an isolation chamber, raised off the floor and lowered from the ceiling. It offers a perfectly accurate recording and mixing environment, with the comfort, vibe, and instruments you need to create.
The second room is a sitting room – a place of relaxation where you can smoke if you choose, equipped with a widescreen TV, Playstation, Gamecube, Fridge, sofa and other amenities.
